| So it occurred to me how rarely I update this... and I was wondering on ways to change that, but then I started wondering if it would make a difference for me to begin writing again. I mean, sure, writing is great for the soul, keeping a journal is a means to reflect on a personal level, and documenting what I've done these past few years has helped my writing (at least a bit), but honestly, I feel like I've outgrown the whole Xanga deal.
It's come down to writing in the Chatterbox, which has become more of a conversation between a narcissistic NorCal resident, a white boy holding it down in the streets of Japan, and a ridiculously absent-minded fellow who speculates that his only means of conveyance (and memory) lie within memoirs in a weblog. So I'm left with the dilemma as to whether I cut the cord or resuscitate this thing. Maybe I'll update once in a while, like this. But other than that, allow me to end with a Danny Glover quote: "I'm too old for this shit."

| So maybe I'm being hustled for my money. Or maybe UCLA wants to keep me longer. Or maybe UCLA doesn't want me to get a degree because I didn't satisfy their "successful student" quota. But honestly, when I get thrown 3 upper division units at the end of a quarter... when I'm done with ALL of my major requirements, and then NOT being able to get them waived... just blows a fat one. Honestly, I was supposed to finish in the fall. Yes, I know, I changed my major late - great. But then one of my classes wasn't offered in the fall. Well, shit - so I take a quarter off in order to prepare for my final quarter, Winter. I pick up 3 courses that I need to fulfill my major requirements, and I finish them pretty decently. But in week 8, when I get notification that I have 3 units still left over... just kick me in the balls. Just kick me in the balls and then eat my ass. Son of a crackwhore. A crackwhore who is payin' for her crack with my tuition money.
See, had I been informed that I have 3 units still left at the beginning of the quarter, I would've just picked up a fourth class and taken school a bit more seriously. But instead, I took the 3 courses I was REQUIRED to take, and then there's no leeway for a mofo who's stayed at the school an extra year. THAT AIN'T RIGHT!!! So yea, now I have to go to school for one more quarter... for one more class. I am an unlucky bastard. But at the same time, I am lucky. Because I can play more college ultimate. Even though I have a slightly bum knee at the moment. I'll figure something out.
In the meantime - I've got Spring Break for a week. That sounds relaxing, but it's only a week. So I have to make the most of it! Even though I probably won't. What I will do, on the other hand, is suffocate myself with video games in order to complete a large number of them before going back to school (where I will continue to play video games, just not as much). I will also try to obtain gourmet food items from various locations in Orange County and probably LA County as well - because honestly, I won't have time to drive around a lot once Spring Break is over. Gotta get in the good food while I have the chance!!!
So yea, that's about it for an update. I think it's time for a shower to rinse all of this off. Peace out, folks! Hope all of you have a good Spring Break!

| Quick update, though not so quick because there's a lot to write about, since I haven't updated in the last 2-3 months. So I'll go by monthly up to now.
October: Well, October ended and November came. Really, nothing special happened in the last 4 days after my last update. Let's move on.
November: Ahh, November. Now that's when ish went haywire. So everything was going smoothly in terms of lifting. I was lifting 3 times a week with my uncle, living the good life, sleeping late, waking up late, and repeating the process. It was a good time, I believe. Then mid-November came around, and my parents went to Mecca. Good for them, right? Right. I took over my mom's daycare so that she wouldn't have to worry about it. My grandma came and stayed over at our place for the 3 weeks, too. So that was pretty chill. Taking care of kids is kind of hard, but there were lots of times when I wanted to straight up throw a kid out a window. If perchance I have kids in the future, oh goodness... patience is KEY!!! Or I'll end up dropkicking them in the face, we'll see. For Thanksgiving, I chilled at home. No turkey this year - just catching up on sleep (which I should be doing right now instead of typing here).
December: Before November was over, I should mention that some Black Friday shopping was done. I purchased a new LCD television for myself, and my grandma hooked my parents up with one as well. Both are very sleek and ballin' in HD. Onto December. My parents got back on the 14th, which was a Sunday. I was in Disneyland on that day, as it was the day after my last day of taking care of children. Kinda overcame my fear of roller coasters - still can't stand freefalls, but still crazy. Screamed my lungs out and lost my voice for a couple days. Fortunately, I have recovered since then. For Christmas, went over to my mom's uncle's and celebrated with family. Relatively chill hangout, nothing out of the ordinary.
January: Rang in the New Year with homies back home. Got my sparkling apple cider on as the clock struck midnight, and then proceeded to ruin my sleep schedule (which I had fixed due to Disneyland) by staying awake till 3AM. Mistake! But it's sorta fixed once again. School started up on the 5th, so I'm in the 2nd week of school now. Taking 2 math courses (both boring) and a programming course (thought to be fun, but turned out to be boring). So since the subject matters don't really appeal to me yet, I am screwed in staying awake during class. 9AM to 1PM sucks. But other than that, can't really complain. Started playing Ultimate frisbee again - my legs are already back in decent shape for running. Not perfect, but definitely better than before. Had a tournament with the B team this past weekend, where we placed higher than we were seeded. This year's B-team is freakin' stacked - it's great to play with so many knowledgeable players. The rookies understand the game pretty damn well, so working with them is gonna be awesome. Definitely lots of fun - can't wait for more tournaments! Oh, I took my first and second ice baths these past two days. 15 minutes in ice cold water to soothe the inflammation of the muscles. SO PAINFUL for the first half, but eventually, the body gets numb and you deal with it. But removes a lot of the soreness quickly, so that's very useful.
Yea, that's about it. I await this weekend so that I may come back home. And do massive amounts of homework. Which I don't understand. Sweet. Don't know when I'll update again. Stay tuned... or not. Peace out, folks!

| Alright, so maybe it's just me, or maybe it's just me, but I just got back from Irvine, and I had to drive through some thick ass fog. I'm talkin' I could only see about 10 feet in front of my car, tops. I almost missed my own street but got lucky enough and realized I had reached my destination via the street before. So lucky I saw it.
In any case, the reason I'm writing this update is because of the fog, really. That shit is sexy. I mean, in all honesty, I would want to take a woman (with proper consent, of course) out driving in the fog, find a scenic place, where the fog is slight, but still available, and just hold her. Yea, I said it, fuckers. Just hold her. This ain't a muthafuckin' sex party. But dirty minds do think alike. But seriously, an evening out in the fog, just chillin', relaxin'... delightful. Sounds boring, doesn't it? I guess it's just because I don't know what I'd do out in the fog - I just know it would be right (with the right person, of course!). In any case, fog is sexytime.
I have been bored as hell this fall, hence my lack of posts and such. My schedule consists of the following: Waking up around 2-3PM. If it's a Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday, I go and lift weights with my uncle. I've been making steady progress, and he's doing pretty well also. On the other hand, if it's a Monday, Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday, I just sleep in, wake up, and attack my computer for hours on end. Either that or I'll hit up Starbucks and hang out with homies at home. Not to say it's not chill - but Orange County really only has so much to offer. Fortunately, the clubs and such that I've been going to (not many, but some) have been really entertaining, and that keeps me busy.
In any case, I am yearning to go back to school. Winter Quarter will be my last at UCLA, but I plan to make it quite the epic one. And by epic, I mean I need to study my ass off. And also play plenty of Ultimate and try to leave behind some knowledge for the rookies. Hopefully I can help out a lot of people, but I don't know how much I'll be allowed to play, considering it will be my last quarter, and I won't be around to help for sectionals and such for the B team. But we'll see, I suppose. More posts to come on that later on.
Alright, I think I've written enough. I'm going to get back to Facebook Poker for now. Peace out, folks. Have a good day.

| Well, a minor update as to what's been happening these past few weeks... nothing important.
Haha, I'm still waiting on that ESPN internship to let me know what's up, but since I haven't gotten a response, I've decided to go ahead and apply for another job as well. This one's doing some operating system support stuff, which falls under IT, I suppose. If they respond to me sooner than the ESPN internship, I'm gonna be kinda boned... because then if the ESPN internship goes through, then one company's getting screwed big time. If only there were a way to split me into two people who could work. Ashame there isn't.
In any case, that's all that's happening in the job universe. As for life itself, I haven't really been active in terms of sports or anything. I went swimming yesterday, so I guess that's better than nothing, but I haven't really been running as of late. Nor have I been playing basketball. Instead, I have been chilling indoors... at home... doing absolutely nothing productive. Life after college? Kinda boring to be honest... for some reason, I want to go back to learning.
Going on about that, I'm trying to learn how to program in Ruby on my own. It's similar to C++, if any of you readers are familiar with that ish, but if you're not, just know that it's a good programming language for a beginner (like me, kinda!). I was considering learning some other programming languages but didn't really see the point in learning a bunch of programming languages that aren't too user-friendly. So I stuck with Ruby for now, which is pretty basic and doesn't make me want to punch my monitor.
Oh, a note about my sleep schedule - I sleep at about 7-8AM now... yea, the sleep has gotten worse since school ended. It used to be 4AM to about 10AM for class... now it's become 7-8AM to about 2PM... less sleep AND crappier hours. When will it be fixed? Maybe once I get a job... or maybe not.
Alright, I'm going to go either shower or play video games until I feel like I want to shower more than play video games. Peace out, folks.
